Alienware Area 51 ALX - USB Overcharge when connecting MIO board to new ASUS motherboard

Hey Guys,

Been trying to figure this one out all week. i recently upgraded my Area 51 with a new Asus P9X79 LE Motherboard, an Intel i7, 16gb ram, Windows 7 pro 64bit and a GTX 780!

Problem is i cant get the lights or fins to work.
Ive noticed that there are 2 connectors from the MIO board that i cannot or an quite wery to connect to the mother board.

1. a cable called USB3 (not a usb3.0 cable), everytime i have this plugged in, it causes the pc on Boot to SAY "USB over charge, will shut down in 15 seconds." i am certain this is the cable that connects the MIO board to the motherboard. Ive tried this cable in all 3 USB slots on the Motherboard and it happens everytime.

2. There is a fan cable coming from the MIO board consisting ofa 1 green, 1 yellow and 1 orange cable. Im not sure where to put this as in fear of blowing anything in the machine.
Here is a pic of the cable

3. I did actually manage to install ACC version 2.5.27.0, but when i get into windows and log in I get a massive error message about something being wrong with the Thermal Monitoring. I assume thats because something isnt connected correctly.

Im really hoping i can sort this out, otherwise ill have an Alienware without its flare:(
I saw this guy achieve it http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1700430 , but im literally lost at the moment.

Any idea on what to do guys?

Thanks a bunch and happy holidays
