Hi I'm having a bad issue on my alienware m17x-r4 purchased in canada november last year. The pc is barely 3 months old with very light use. It has a windows 8 OS installed, 16GB RAM, 2gb nvidia gt675m dedicated graphics card. I updated the graphic card drivers to the only stable version I found online compatible with alienware and windows 8 OS. (Version 314.22). Higher updates always ended up in a BSOD. About 3 weeks ago my function keys suddenly stopped working.. I thought it was a graphic card issue so I reverted to factory settings. Now my Esc and F1 keys dont work anymore. I'ved tried everything I can... software wise.. and they're still not working. Problem is I reside in nigeria and I cant exactly ship the laptop back to dell because its going to be a real inconvenience & I'm not sure if dell has a service center around here. I'm really tired because its making it difficult to work with my 3d applications as I make use of the Esc key a lot. Does anyone have ideas how to get these keys working again?
NB: I'ved tried setting up the functions associated with these keys to work with other keys in my applications but those options dont seem to be working. Any ideas pls. Its really urgent.
