I got this just yesterday. I had everything going just fine - it started up all right at first.
Then I tried shutting down. I let it sit there for about 20 minutes saying that it was shutting down, then I just cold shut it down. Then I started it back up, only to get the starting windows screen for - i let it wait - for about 5 hours. It just stayed there. Then I tried a cold shutdown, and tried startup repair - which could not find anything wrong.
I've now restored to factory image twice, and this has occurred both times multiple times.
What the Hell could the problem be? This renders the laptop almost useless.
