Just a heads up here really....
On Wednesday I updated my video card drivers from 296.36 to the very latest.... and wish I hadn't!!!
Bearing in mind I had driver issues from day 1 of owning an X51 for the first 6 months until updating BIOS at the time to v02, I had the same again last week only I'd lost the display, had continual BSOD's (over 60!!!) which reported the nvidia driver has caused a system crash, on calling a technician who to be honest was very helpful, updated me to v311 and BIOS v13, still got the issues... then I tried a factory default, but the system couldn't my recovery software even though D: "recovery drive" is showing usage so I had to do a clean install of Window's 7, same drivers, same issue!!!
By then I'd rang the tech department and a replacement card is being fitted tomorrow, in the meantime I reverted back to nVidia driver v296.... no problems!!!
So... does this mean the GTX555 gfx card is useless beyond driver version 296.36? Will the replacement card be an equally useless GTX555 and we'll be no further on, seems to me this card has very limited support!!!
Surely the X51's issues should be sorted by now nearly 2 years on!!!
