Alienware Motherboard Replacement/Upgrade?

So here's my dilemma: I have an Alienware M17xR3, with an NVIDIA GTX 580m card, i7 2820 processor, and I've been having issues with it for awhile now. I've owned this computer for 3 years, and every year, I have to send it back to Dell to get the motherboard fixed, due to BSOD. However, I got my computer back from a repair not too long ago, the problem (I think) was that a recent NVIDIA driver destroyed my GPU, so I thought they fixed it. Turns out that I still have the problem, and because I have an advanced warranty, Dell was willing to replace the card. Unfortunately, they don't make GTX 580m cards anymore, and they're on back order, so I asked if they could upgrade the card, but if I did that, the computer would overheat. I was wondering if there was a way to replace the entire motherboard and get a new card. If it costs a little money, I'm ok with that, because quite frankly, I'm tired of having to send in my computer for the same problem for 3 years in a row. If there isn't a way to upgrade/fix my motherboard, what should I do then? Try to get a new computer?
