Alienware M17x R5 NO POWER??!! PLEASE HELP

Hi, this is exactly what happened.. I checked this laptop and it was working perfectly fine so i bought it .. i packed it up and put it back in the box to carry it home without shutting it off. i got home and now i have absolutely no power what so ever.. I called dell and its under warranty but they said it going to take a couple days for the transfer of ownership to go through..

Now, i know it is not the a/c adapter , thats working perfectly fine.

I dont know what else i can do to trouble shoot it, i cant take out the battery out easily on it to drain the power , or can I?

This is my first time buying a alienware, how can i run into such bad luck?
