Hi everyone
I’m having major issues with my alienware x51 desktop having blue screen issues (irql_not_less_or_equal) however recently I’ve tried to turn on the device and it won’t turn on. The power button emits a dim light, the side lights don't work and finally the system doesn't boot up at all putting my monitor into sleep mode. Unfortunately my warranty ran out just before this incident which is wonderful timing. All my work documents were on there which are probably now gone. Please see below information relating to my pc
Model: alienware X51
Operating system: windows 7 home premium 64bit
Description of issue. for the last couple of weeks ive been getting the dreaded blue screen with the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. and the probable cause was the ntoskrnl.exe . i thought i would just leave it for the moment till i could at least figure a way to fix the problem. Once i found a potential solution i went to turn on my PC and it just wouldn't boot. firstly the power button when pressed was really dim, the side lights (which i have set to my preferred colours) wasn't working, there was completely no output to my monitor and the PC was as silent as hell so there were none of the normal beeps i get when the computer boots.
i have absolutely no idea what’s going on with it and i really want to get it repaired as im not the richest guy in the world who can just buy a new one. if you need any other info i would gladly comply as i really need my pc back. im having to borrow my mates just to write this post!
Ive been given some help through the forum about diagnosing the hard drive. Due to the pc not being able to turn on I had to remove it and borrow someone else’s pc to diagnose it to no success a few bad sectors but noting to major to do this kind of damage. I was also steered in the direction of trying to boot the pc with the windows disk and again to no such luck. This problem seems to get more and more conducing by the second. If anyone can give me some kind of information is would be a massive help as I really love my pc im not the richest guy who can go out and buy a new one right off the bat. If it’s futile I might just have to start saving again!
Thanks in advance for any information you can give
