I just have installed an ssd in my Alienware m17xr4. I did a complete re install of windows 7 on my ssd as well. After installing windows 7 I went into the device manager to let windows 7 find updates by telling it to search under my 'Windows/system32' files so it would update all drivers on my ssd that I had for windows 7 on my hdd. After this I then removed all documents that I wanted off of my hdd and then formatted it.
The main problem is now that I have formatted my hdd the light board still has a theme playing on it that was in my documents folder that I placed back on my hdd after it was formatted. Obviously now after my hdd was formatted it no longer has the Alien Command Center intalled. But will still play the theme that I have in a documents folder on my hdd (now used as storage).
So my question is do I delete these themes(.ath files) that I have saved then download the Alien Command Center from the dell driver download page by entering my service tag?
Or
Am I suppose to keep the themes on my hdd and then download the Alien Command Center from the dell driver download page by entering my service tag?
Side Note:
The reason I am using the dell driver download page is because the Alienware Resouce DVD had been known to cause the lightboard to burn out due to it rolling back on an update on the board.
