Alienware M17X R2 LCD issues

I've got an Alienware M17X R2 with an LCD that has the part number K1NFP described on the support page as "LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., 17WUXGA, RED/GREEN/BLUE..., LIGHT EMITTING DIODE..., AG, SAMSUNG..."

The problem I'm having is that it is showing up as a Generic PnP Monitor in Device Manager and in the Built-in Displays section of Catalyst Control Center.  It's reporting a maximum resolution of 1440x900, but I know the native resolution is higher (I think it's 1920x1200?)  It's also reporting a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz, no idea if this is accurate.  My video drivers are up to date, and my display adapters are showing up correctly in the Device Manager as ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 (I have two of them).  I've tried uninstalling and re-installing my video drivers to no avail.

After an hour of searching I've come up with nothing.  I can't find LCD drivers... does such a thing even exist?  How do I get my laptop to recognize my LCD correctly?
