Dear Community.
I do not have the greatest knowledge when it comes to computer so i was looking for some advice. I have owned my Alienware M11x R3 for just over two years now, with the motherboard and hard drive being replaced just under a year ago. When i first got my laptop i would be gaming on medium-high setting with great frame rate. However now i have my games set to the lowest settings (World of Warcraft, League of Legends as a couple of examples) and i find that half of the time the game will run smoothly and at 60-70 fps, then it all of a sudden can drop down to around 15-20 fps. I understand that over time computers will lose some performance, and at first i thought because of this laptops small size it was down to maybe overheating, but it seems to show this in consistent frame rate issue even when the computer has only been on for 20-30 minutes.
Is this just something that happens over time or could it be the sign that i have a problem? Any advice would be much appreciated.
